Previously known as Connecticut Coining, Inc., AMG-Bethel is a manufacturing site of AMG located in Bethel, Connecticut. This facility has a focus in deep drawn metal products for the aerospace, defense and medical markets.

For over 50 years AMG-Bethel has been a leading manufacturer of deep-drawn metal parts used in aerospace, defense, medical and high voltage tubes (Thyraton, Klystrons, Magnetrons and Microwave Devices). In aerospace, our customers are industry leaders manufacturing bellows, joints, bleed, duct (anti-ice, telescopic) assemblies as well as silencers, and crossover & oil cooler systems used in high pressure and exhaust ducting. AMG-Bethel is able to support these customers in these markets with over 50 presses that range up to 600 tons.

Known for over a century as Gasser, AMG-Commack is a manufacturing site of AMG located in Commack, New York. Since 1916, AMG-Commack has been committed to providing precision products that are produced with high quality standards in mind. This site largely provides deep drawing services for the medical and high power industries while also being known as the world’s premier provider of lead-lined x-ray tube housing assemblies.

With over 40 presses that range up to 500 tons, AMG-Commack has a full team of highly skilled engineers and tool and die masters that are ready to help with any project. Being ISO certified for decades, this facility can easily meet the needs of an international customer base.

Formerly known as GAR Electroforming, AMG-Danbury is known in the rotorcraft industry as the premier provider of composite blade leading edge guards (LEGs). AMG-Danbury is a manufacturing site of AMG located in Danbury, Connecticut and their focus is on providing the additive manufacturing service of electroforming.

AMG-Danbury is the largest and premiere AS9100 certified electroforming supplier with over 50,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. We offer full service CNC machining capabilities that produce our tools/mandrels and provide finishing services to our electroformed products.

Capabilities

  • Unique metal forming processes (deep drawing, hydroforming, metal spinning, electroforming, roll forming, etc.)
  • Differentiated CNC machining
  • Preferred involvement in engineering
  • Will also evaluate businesses that specialize in select finishing processes

Geography

  • Preference for Northeastern U.S.; secondary emphasis on the Eastern half of the U.S. For the right business, will expand geography.

Customer Base

  • Preference for strong relationships and long-term contracts with OEM and Tier 1 aerospace and defense customers

Certifications

  • AS9100 and or NADCAP

Company Size

  • Approximately $2MM to $5MM EBITDA

Our Leadership

Alec Searle

Chief Executive Officer

Alec Searle joined the Alpha Metalcraft Group in September 2021 as CEO to lead, professionalize and grow the portfolio of companies. Prior to this, Alec was Chief Operating Officer of Paradigm Precision, a leading Private Equity backed provider of hot section engine machined and fabricated parts. Prior to Paradigm, Alec spent twenty plus years in the engine control system space with Goodrich and Triumph Engine Controls. Alec has extensive experience with aerospace defense businesses, helicopters components and high IP electronic hardware, software, and mechanical systems. Alec holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Management from Birmingham University, UK.

John J. Boscia

Vice President, Business Development

John J. Boscia has been a Vice President since August 2019 leading business development, marketing, and M&A. Prior to Alpha Metalcraft Group, Mr. Boscia was with engineering service provider Butler Aerospace & Defense, as Vice President, Business Development. Before joining Butler, John spent almost sixteen years with aerospace & defense systems provider, Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE: TGI) in numerous leadership roles for the Integrated Systems business unit which included seventeen operating sites throughout the world. John holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering technology from the Batten College of Engineering & Technology at Old Dominion University and an MBA certification from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.

Robert J. Brooks, CMA

Chief Financial Officer

Robert has been the Chief Financial Officer since March 2018 responsible for financial reporting, supporting the financing needs of the company and supporting M&A. Prior to AMG, Mr. Brooks was with Charkit Chemical in Norwalk, CT, a $115 million chemical distribution company, as the Corporate Controller. Bob holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Economics from Duquesne University and a master’s in business from Albertus Magnus College. In addition to his education Bob is a Certified Management Accountant and served in the military as a commissioned Engineer Officer and currently is an Adjunct Instructor at Post University teaching Economics.

Mark Duncan

Vice President, Operations

In his current role of Vice President, Operations at Alpha Metalcraft Group, Mark focuses on the daily operations and strategic process, production, and facilities improvements at AMG Commack, where he has been employed for 15 years. Forty years of experience in Manufacturing, driving companies in Glass and Sheet Metal Processing Equipment, Imaging Components, Hydraulics and Electronics, Mr. Duncan has built a history of strong leadership and know-how that culminates in success for the organizations. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, which he compliments with classes toward a Masters degree, Mark has been employed in the roll of Vice President, Operations, VP of Operations and Logistics, Manufacturing Manager and Lead Engineer.

Kris Mortimer

General Manager

Kris has been General Manager since November 2021, leading the AMG Danbury and Bethel locations. Prior to Alpha Metalcraft Group, he was the Director of Operations for Paradigm Precision in Manchester, CT. The facility specialized in precision machining, and sheet metal fabrication providing components for multiple military and commercial engines (F135, F100, C130, T700 and LEAP 1B). Before joining Paradigm, Kris held multiple operational roles with Firth Rixson LTD, (Purchased by Alcoa in 2014, Now Arconic), in their Rochester, NY and Midway, GA plants, specializing in Open and Closed die forging. Kris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.

Geralyn F. Macchio

Director, Human Resources

Geralyn began her career with Alpha Metalcraft Group’s Commack site in 2016 and was a key lead and liaison with the acquisition due diligence team. She was promoted to the role of Director, Human Resources for Alpha Metalcraft Group in 2021. Geralyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York, Oneonta and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Geralyn’s values are reflected in how she supports the company’s biggest asset, its people. From recruiting candidates to shaping policies, Geralyn knows firsthand how HR impacts so many lives. Her professional experience includes executive level and strategic management, employee training and development, organizational development, and employee relations.

Luigi Cazzaniga

Director, Engineering/Program Management

Luigi Cazzaniga joined the Alpha Metalcraft Group in November 2022, with a focus to drive growth in the core engineering competencies. Prior to AMG, Luigi was with the Alinabal Group as General Manager for Practical Automation, a premiere manufacturer of kiosk printer solutions, and also managed the DACO business, providing laser shutter solutions for medical, scientific, and security markets, as well as devices for HUDs systems for military aircraft. Prior to Alinabal, Luigi spent 9 years with Trident Industrial Inkjet, a division of Illinois Tool Works. Luigi holds a B.S. from Columbia University in Chemical Engineering, a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Wharton School of business.

Josh Pouliot

Plant Manager

Josh has been Plant Manager at Alpha Metalcraft Group’s Bethel site since August of 2022, leading all aspects of this deep draw business. Before joining the AMG team, Josh served as the Business Unit Manager at one of Paradigm Precisions’ Connecticut facilities for four years. Paradigm is a global independent provider of complex machining, fabrications, and assemblies, primarily used in the aerospace industry. Josh also got the chance to work at Piper Aircraft of Florida in 2007 where he worked on the final assembly line installing flaps and ailerons, and main landing gear on private jets, which Josh says is still one of his favorite jobs to date.
