With more than 35,000 suppliers in the United States, earning recognition from the Eaton Corporation requires operational excellence across a spectrum of metrics.
Alpha Metalcraft Group – Pacoima, formerly Hanmar, was one of 38 suppliers that received an important distinction from the international intelligent power management manufacturer. AMG Pacoima received a Supplier Excellence Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. AMG Pacoima also won the award in 2023 and has partnered with Eaton since 1985, with smaller companies that Eaton eventually acquired. The relationship has evolved substantially in the past decade.
“Our work has translated into a long-term agreement for many part numbers,’’ said Sr. Program Manager for AMG, Preston Callow. “Since 2015, we’ve increased our sales as much as 9 to 10 times, depending on the year.”
AMG Pacoima, which was acquired by AMG in May, is a trusted industry leader specializing in advanced metal forming technologies. It creates fabricated parts and assemblies for aerospace, defense and commercial use.

AMG Pacoima has been a long-term partner for Eaton. It specializes in crafting parts for aerospace and defense applications. It also has the necessary certifications and processes required for government work. AMG Pacoima also supplies parts for several other industries.
One of AMG Pacoima’s unique capabilities is metal spinning, which was fundamental to the launch of the business in 1953. The process creates a wide range of cylindrical, conical and axially symmetric parts, including rocket nozzles and heat shields for aerospace, and nose cones, housings for propulsion systems and components for avionic and radar systems.
Metal spinning involves a circular sheet of metal mounted to a rotating mandrel. The metal conforms to the contours of the rotating mandrel, thinning and stretching as it is created. Metal spinning’s versatility allows for the manufacturing of components for a wide range of products in many industries.
